Business or Private Mail and Package Deliveries

    Every new scientific staff member or long-term guest will have their own pigeon hole/mailbox, which is located on the ground floor. For all research assistants and student assistants, one pigeon hole for each group is located on the ground floor. 

    All outgoing MPI business mail should be given to reception during office hours or placed in the box 'MPI outgoing mail' located next to the reception desk outside office hours. 

    All outgoing mail will be picked up around 1pm, so please make sure to give any urgent mail to reception before that. For all private letters and packages, you can go to a PostNL office, please click here to find the nearest PostNL office. For sending FEDEX mail, please contact reception and inform your department secretary. 

    Regulations

    With regard to the delivery of business-related packages to our institute, we kindly request you to observe the following regulations:

    • If you're expecting a business package with cash on delivery customs fees, inform reception and Arnold Harbers in Operations in time to ensure cash is available upon arrival.
    • If a package with fees does not have an MPI contact name, reception will not accept it and it will be returned to sender.
    • Do not accept any packages outside business hours. Please inform the driver that packages can only be delivered at the MPI reception during business hours and refer to our business hours sign at the main entrance door. 

    Our receptionists are not here to handle private packages. We request you to use the other delivery possibilities that most online shopping sites offer, such as delivery package pickup points or delivery to your home address in the evening hours/weekend.
