Bibliographic Systems
Bibliographic management programs (such as EndNote and Reference Manager) allow scientists and researchers to file bibliographic information from relevant literature areas in separate databases. These citations can then easily be included in a new publication. Bibliographies can be automatically created in the needed format.
The IVS-BM web pages offer a compilation of secondary information on different programs, including, in particular, pointers on the adoption of search results from databanks in the MPS offering. The most common used in our institute is EndNote, but there are also other, like Zotero or JabRef. Zotero is a free open source, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organise, cite, and share your research sources. It is available for Max, Windows, and Linux.
