Secure use of online testing
If you are considering online testing, you should be aware of the following rules and guidelines.
- Not all types of experiments are suited to be run online. This is, for example, the case for time-sensitive web-experiments. Please be aware of the implications as timing in web-experiments is problematic and renders a design impossible in many cases
- Make sure your department's/group's ethical approval covers online experiments (e.g., make sure your consent procedure is correct and legal)
- We might need to set up data processing agreements with some experiment platforms and questionnaire providers. If you wish to use an experiment platform other than Frinex, please contact TG and Patricia Manko to find out if we need to put a data processing agreement in place first.
