PhD Student ID Card

Every PhD student employed at the MPI is entitled to receive a PhD Student ID Card. This card enables you to receive discounts (on conference registration fees, etc.) both in the Netherlands (where PhD students are normally considered as employees) and in Germany (where they normally have student ID cards). All new PhD students will automatically receive the ID card upon arrival at the institute.
