Cleaning and waste collection

Our cleaning company is Asito. The cleaning people will enter your office only once a week, on a fixed day, in the early morning before 9.30 am, and clean it thoroughly.

    Cleaning

On this ground plan you can see on which day your office will be cleaned (each day of the week is marked with a different colour; for example: office 112 will be cleaned on Wednesday, office A208 on Monday, office 273 on Tuesday and office A322 on Friday).

This means that your garbage bin will only be emptied once a week, so any food stuff that can become smelly should not be put in your office garbage bin.

For this purpose, big garbage containers (marked ‘food/green waste’) are located on all floors and corridors of the institute, and those will be emptied on a daily basis.

    Waste collection

    • Plastic bottles (soft drinks etc.) can be recycled at supermarkets using special machines that give you a store credit per bottle.
    • Paper can be thrown in the grey paper trays located on all floors and corridors of the institute, and those will be emptied once a week.
    • Glass and empty bottles should not be left in the canteen area! There is a glass recycling collection point at most supermarkets. (Broken) glass and sharp things should never be thrown in your office garbage bin, but directly in the big garbage container behind the bicycle shed close to the main entrance door.
    • Food/green waste can be thrown in the big garbage containers (marked ‘food/green waste’) located on all floors and corridors of the institute, and those will be emptied on a daily basis.
    • There is a clothing recycling collection point at the Albert Heijn supermarket on St. Jacobslaan 61.
