Instructions and settings for the printers
Normally, all available network printers are already available on your PC. All printers are available through the server NT13. Below you will find some instructions if you want to add or change your default printer.
Add a new printer
- Start Explorer
- In the address bar type \\nt13
- Select the printer of your choice
- Press the right mouse button and select Connect...
Change the settings of your printer
Click Print on the File menu. Via the button Properties in the printer dialogue, you can change the printer settings like paper size, media, input tray, output tray, number of copies, double/single sided printing, etc. You could also define these settings in Page Setup within your application. When you save the document after changing these settings, they will belong to the properties of the document.
Setting your default printer
- Click Start > type 'printer'
- Select 'Printer & scanners'
- Select a printer from the list of printers
- Select Set as Default with the right mouse button
- Now the printer is marked as your default printer
View the printer queue
- Click Start > type 'printer'
- Select 'Printer & scanners'
- Select a printer form the list and double click it
- Now you will see all print jobs for that printer sent by you or other PC users. You can observe at what time the jobs were sent and tell whether there is a problem or not. As long as your job is visible in this tool, you can cancel it. You cannot see what is printing via Unix or Macintosh.
