Confidential printing

    All public printers at the institute support secure printing. If you print in secure mode, the printer will hold the job until you enter a code on the printer itself. This does not affect other jobs on the printer.

    Secured printing from Windows applications

    Canon color printers(cancolor265, cancolor342, cancolor365, cancolor-a213, cancolor-a318)

    1. In the application select Print...
    2. Select Printer Properties.
    3. For Output Method select: Secured Print.
    4. You will see an information pop-up window.
    5. Answer 'No'. (You will be asked the same question later again.)
    6. Press OK in the properties panel.
    7. Press OK in the Print dialog.
    8. You should see a pop-up window now. Confirm or enter the PIN. (If you do not see this pop-up look for it; maybe it is hidden behind other windows!).
    9. Press 'OK' and go to the printer.
    10. At the printer select Main menu (hardware button to the left of the touch screen).
    11. On the touch screen select Secure Printing.
    12. Select your job from the list.
    13. Press Secure Print (bottom right).
    14. Enter PIN and press 'OK'.
    15. Printer will start printing.
